What you'll do:

The Strategic & Reputational Risk Senior Manager will be responsible for providing 2LOD risk oversight and effective challenge, as well as improving associated committee/board reporting. The successful candidate will partner effectively across all Lines of Defense and be closely involved with foundational Enterprise Risk Management programs such as the Risk & Controls Self-Assessment, Issues Management, and Risk Appetite KRI programs.

The Strategic & Reputational Risk team is part of the Bank's wider Risk Management department and a rapidly growing team focused on providing expert guidance, credible challenge, and effective oversight of risk-taking activities throughout the Bank. The Risk Management department plays a critical role in helping to inform bank management and the Board of Directors of the risks inherent in its actions and decisions, enterprise impacts, and opportunities to manage risk.

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Risk Initiatives, the ideal candidate will be driven to build and scale, ready to challenge the status quo, able to comprehensively synthesize and communicate information, as well as driven to continuously improve. This role will start as an individual contributor with requisite analyst support from within the Strategic & Reputational Risk team.

What we are looking for:

Responsibilities

  • Operationalize enterprise-wide risk identification and assessment processes, ensuring alignment and connectivity between top-down/bottom-up activities, quarterly/annual risk assessments, etc.
  • On-going oversight and challenge of Strategic and Reputational Risk RCSAs, issues, and Risk Appetite levels/KRIs. Champion a strong risk culture for the company by elevating risk and control ownership awareness.
  • Enhancing, operationalizing, and documenting Strategic Risk management programs such as the Strategic Plan Risk Assessment, Strategic Plan Implementation monitoring, as well as KRI development and monitoring.
  • Enhancing, operationalizing, and documenting Reputational Risk management programs such as KRI development and monitoring as well as committee/board reporting.
  • Partnering with Operational Risk Management to mature and operationalize the firm's stress testing scenario analysis process.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 9 years of direct or related experience in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Finance, Public Accounting, or Management Consulting
  • Knowledge of general banking operations and governance practices, industry trends, competitive landscape, and corporate strategy
  • Knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices
  • Experience with enterprise-wide change management principles and/or complex initiatives
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven ability to interact with all levels of an organization, especially senior management
  • Ability to drive multiple agendas simultaneously to achieve continuous outcomes
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $154,829.00 - $191,259.00 for Las Vegas, NV. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
